A message from the owner.
ENOUGH is Enough.
Firstly, I’d like to apologies for the lack of communication, I’ve been working around the clock to make changes behind closed doors so that Gnocchi Jeans can be the best it can.Last year I partnered up with a finance company named, ClearCo. The deal was that, as sales (revenue) increased, so would funding. That opened up opportunity for massive discounts! Knowing that every item was being sold at a loss, the funding from ClearCo made up for the difference, meaning everyone could afford high quality clothes for as little as 95% off.
It was a strategy to put Gnocchi in every wardrobe in the UK. 2 months in, ClearCo pulled out with no explanation (when we went kind of viral) leaving us in the mud to cover the costs, we’re a new company so this really crippled us and put us at the bottom of the priority list when it comes to production. That being said, our main manufacturer was going though their own legal issues which made our smaller payments even less of a priority. These reasons are why production has been taking so long.
I really tried to do good, especially with the cost of living crisis, I come from nothing and I just wanted people to feel high quality without sacrificing other parts of their lives.I was taking advice from "business advisors" and "brand specialists" on how to deal with this. But I remembered why I even started this brand...It's not about doing things how other brands have been doing things. I like being real, transparent & honest. So i've fired them all and I'm going back to basics! I'm sorry guys, I forgot, a huge part of what makes us special is how we treat ya'll. And we're putting YOU first. No more external, Only Family, Only Us.
Thankfully, last month, we partnered with a new company, 8Fig. They have been helping us out the whole ClearCo left us in! OK.. So where are we with the current pre-orders and what are the final deadline dates?The 90-95% OFF we sold the clothes at were only enough to start creating the clothes, but it was nowhere near what we needed to pay for the entire thing. That's where we were screwed over. Some may say its "bad business" to sell at a loss, and that's true, but Gnocchi isn't about business, it's about Family, it's about giving and it's about trust. A trust that was broken from a huge finance company which caused all of you to have a summer without Gnocchi in your wardrobe.Capsule 8 is completed - Awaiting final payments to settle the balance and will be shipped via sea which takes 30-45 days.We believe we'll have it in our warehouse and ready to send in time for Christmas.9 & 10 are on hold so we can focus our funds on getting out the winter capsule in time for Christmas because of the weather. As they are summer pieces, we'll have them ready for next summer.Winter capsule (including the windbreakers are on track to be ready in time for Christmas)
REFUND OR CANCEL? Of course. We will cancel and refund immediately for those that don’t want to wait, we have no wish to hold onto anyones cash. We COMPLETELY understand the frustration this may cause and we are still working on many ways to show our appreciation to you all. I myself and 8Fig will be covering the costs so everyone can get the clothes they’ve been waiting for. This is a BIG fee so I ask for your understanding and I want to apologies again for not opening up about our situation and sticking to our core brand values. We've been locked in some NDA's but quite frankly, I don't care about that anymore. Gnocchi is about truth, and this industry has A LOT of ugly truths that we will uncover as time goes on. As a small team, we can’t express how grateful we are for your patience. We know how annoying this is and you all have a right to pissed to be honest. Just please know the real reason for the delay is because we tried to be the fashion robin hood of this generation, we haven’t kept anyones money for ourselves. All are welcome to refund and wait just wait for the stock to arrive if they’d prefer.We have the same numbers going into production so if you'd rather a refund, for now, we can also make that happen.
